Alissa Schramm Honored with Faculty Affiliate Appointment at University of Colorado
July 21, 2025 – Alissa Schramm has been appointed a Faculty Affiliate of the Center for Bioethics and Humanities of the University of Colorado on the Anschutz Medical Campus. The appointment remains in place for 5 years.
The appointment recognizes Alissa’s 15 years as a volunteer with Colorado’s Medical Orders for Scope of Treatment (MOST) Program, starting as an educator and serving as the State Leader since 2017. The MOST Program recently entered into a collaboration with the Center for Bioethics and Humanities. The partnership opens many possibilities for education.
Affiliate faculty are individuals who make meaningful contributions to the Center’s mission and demonstrate ongoing engagement with its work. This may include participation in or support of the Center’s initiatives in research, education, clinical ethics or community outreach. Affiliate faculty are nominated by an elected core faculty member and their approval is at the Center director’s discretion.
“It’s gratifying for my hard work over the years to be noted by such a prestigious organization,” Alissa said. “I look forward to working with the Center to further our mission of educating healthcare professionals and the public about the MOST Program.”
